Cyclone Software, formally Kenwood Data Systems, was
formed in 1978 by Kenwood and Kevin Opp. The office
originated in Lincoln, Nebraska with the vision of
creating a financial debt recovery system for
organizations to use in assisting in collecting debt.
1978
- Cyclone's first debt recovery system was developed
and implemented using IRIS technology and punch cards.
1985
- IRIS technology was upgraded and the debt recovery
package was developed into At-A-Glance. This new
technology used color work screens to supply the most
information to the collector available, which in
retrospect turns out to be an important feature carried
over to today's version.
1987
- Cyclone Software relocates from Lincoln, Nebraska to
Greeley, Colorado. 1994 - Cyclone Software releases its
first Check Verification system.
1996
- The owner of the company, Kevin Opp was tragically
killed in a small plane accident while traveling from a
system installation of a debt recovery system in Texas.
1997
- Cyclone Software releases its first windows based
check verification program.
2002
- Cyclone Software is purchased by current owner and
chief programmer Mick Phillips.
